    16. ~V意向形と思う: Going to do something

    Explaination: Used to represent the intention of the speakers which have existed before the conversation and it still exists at that moment.



    Eg: I'm going to study abroad in Japan.

    日本に留学すると思う。

    I plan to work in the University.

    大学で働くと思う。



    17. ~つもり: Plan/Going to do something

    Explaination: There are two types: "つもりです" in order to represent the intention to do something and "ないつもり" to represent the intention not to do something.



    Eg: I'm going to travel to Europe next year.

    来年はヨーロッパへ旅行するつもりです。

    I plan not to smoke anymore.

    タバコは、もう決してすわないつもりです。



    18. ~予定 (~よてい): According to plan...

    Explaination: Used to represent an intention which are planned for a period.



    Eg: According to plan then I'm going to travel.

    私は旅行へ行く予定です。

    According to plan then I'm going to travel to Japan next year.



    来年日本へ行く予定です。



    19. ~てあげる: Do something for someone else

    Explaination: Used to describe the speakers do something for someone else.



    Eg: I helped Kim-san.

    キムさんを手伝ってあげました。

    I carried luggage for you.

    友達の荷物を持ってあげました。



    20. ~てくれる:

    Explaination: Used to describe someone else do something for the speakers.



    Eg: Suzuki-san fixed the bike for me.

    鈴木さんが自転車を修理してくれました。

    My father bought for me a new bike.

    父は私に新しい自転車を買ってくれました。



    21. ~てもらう: Have something done by someone else

    Explaination: Used to represent the speakers have someone else do something for him/her.



    Eg: I have a Japanese friend taught me how to make Japanese food.

    私は日本人の友達に日本料理を教えてもらった。

    I have Suzuki-san lent me money.

    山田さんにお金を貸してもらった。



    22. ~ていただけませんか: Can you do something for me?

    Explaination: Used to ask someone else to do something



    Eg: Can you help me?

    今ちょっと、手伝っていただけませんか?

    Can you hold this for me?

    これを持っていただけませんか?



    23. ~V受身 (うけみ): Being forced/ordered/asked to do something

    Explaination: Used to represent the action of someone forced/ordered/asked to do something (passive).



    Eg: I was forced to drink.

    お酒に飲まれました。

    I was asked by my sister to go shopping.

    私は姉にスーバを頼まれました。



    24. ~V禁止 (きんし): Being forbidden from doing something

    Explaination: Used to warn someone not to do something, mainly in form of warning, threatening, can be used "よ" to end the sentence as a way to reduce the weight in the sentence.



    Eg: Do not rest.

    休むな。

    Do not use phone.

    携帯電話を使うな。



    25. ~V可能形 (かのうけい): Be able to do something/ Can do something

    Explaination: Used to represent the ability to do something.



    Eg: I can eat sushi.

    私は寿司が食べられます。

    I can write kanji.

    私は漢字が読めます。



    26. ~V 使役 (しえき): Force/Allow to do something

    Explaination: Used to represent an action of forcing/allowing someone do something, normally used by people with higher position to people who have lower position such as bosses - workers, parents - children. Also this mostly used by men.



    Eg: President ordered the secretary to do the typing.

    社長は秘書にタイプを打たせた。

    President allowed me to have salary before the payday.

    社長は給料を前借りさせてくれた。



    27. ~V使役受身 (しえきうけみ): Being forced to do something

    Explaination: Used to represent the state of being forced to do something.



    Eg: Yesterday, I was forced to study in 3 hours long by my mother.

    昨日は、お母さんに3時間も勉強させられた。

    I was forced to drink.

    お酒を飲まされた。



    28. ~なさい: Please do something

    Explaination: Used to represent an asking favor or giving out an order, normally used by parents or teachers and mostly they are women. It is not used to order the higher position people.



    Eg: Too noisy. Please be quiet.

    うるさい。すこし静かにしなさい。

    Please go to bed early, you have to go to school tomorrow.

    明日も学校があるんだから、早く寝なさい。



    29. ~ても(V/A/N):

    Explaination: Used to represent the state of being allowed to do something. If it is used as a question then the meaning is changed to ask for permission to do something.



    Eg: May i come in?

    入ってもいいですか?

    Yes, please come in.

    どうぞ。



    It may be able to park here from 8 p.m to 6 a.m.

    あそこは、夕方八時から朝六時までは駐車してもいいらしい。



    30. ~てしまう:

    Explaination: Used to represent the state of accidentally did something, also show the bad, regretful feeling



    Eg: Because of going under the rain, i got sick.

    雨の中を歩いて、風邪をひいてしまった。

    I forgot the umbrella on the train.

    電車の中にかさを忘れて来てしまった。
